Odoo ERP

Odoo is a modern ERP built by Odoo SA. Its Community edition is open source, and the OCA community adds free modules on top of it.

Purchasing, sales, stock, manufacturing, CRM and reports work together in one system, on one database. We implement it, adapt it to the way your company works and connect it to the couriers, the marketplaces and ANAF.

Platform

Overview

Architecture

A client-server solution made of a suite of applications written in Python. They collect, process and store information in a PostgreSQL database, and any web browser works as the client.

Users and access

Many users can connect at the same time, each with their own access rules. Users can change their password, and administrators can reset passwords and change access rights.

Data and reports

Data can be shown as tables, graphs, calendars and forms, and sorted, grouped and filtered by many criteria. Tabular reports export to CSV or XLS, and the system generates PDF documents such as invoices, goods receipt notes and delivery notes.

Import and search

Bulk data can be loaded from CSV or XLS files. Every record carries the user and date of its creation and last change. A quick search works on one or more fields: a few letters of a product name or code give a short list of matching products.

Applications

What Odoo covers

The main applications, each one working with the others.

Purchasing

Create and track purchase orders, follow invoices and the receipt of goods, and manage partial receipts. Replenishment rules can propose draft purchase orders when stock falls below a limit.

Sales

Manage sales targets, track every sales order and its history. The invoicing is easy to use even if you are not an accountant, and it includes receipts, payments and what you owe or are owed.

Manufacturing

Manufacturing orders split into work orders, flexible bills of materials and routings, and production followed by scanning barcodes, up to the receipt of the finished product.

CRM

Leads and opportunities in a pipeline, the activities and follow-ups of each one, and the quotation sent straight from the opportunity.

Maintenance

Efficient management of equipment and machinery, with tools you can adapt to your activity: scheduled revisions and the operating cost of each machine.

Reports

A complete set of tools to extract complex information from the database and combine it into custom reports, grouped on a dashboard that updates in real time.

Also: Accounting, Invoicing, Expenses, Documents and Sign.

Infrastructure

Cross-platform access

Odoo works in the browser, on a computer, a tablet or a phone; Odoo.sh looks after the servers.

Any device

Access from any device that runs a modern browser. Odoo is designed for collaborative work.

Safe data

Daily backups, kept in several data centers (Odoo.sh).

Managed and scalable

Servers run and monitored by Odoo SA, with more resources when you need them (Odoo.sh).

More details

Is it time?

Signs that spreadsheets and several applications are no longer enough

The orders arrive in one place and are processed in another

Marketplace and webshop orders are retyped into the invoicing program, and the courier platform gets the same address a third time.

The same data is typed twice

Customers, products and prices live in the webshop, in accounting and in the courier platform, and they drift apart.

Simple questions take a day to answer

What is the margin on a product line, what is in stock in which warehouse, what should we order this week.

Declarations and closings eat the month

Matching the invoices from SPV (ANAF's e-Factura) and the bank statements by hand, before the deadlines of the declarations.

Growth means more tools, not more control

Each new sales channel or courier adds another application and another export to maintain.

If two or three of these sound familiar, tell us how your orders flow today and we will tell you what Odoo changes.

Artificial intelligence

AI in Odoo, with limits

What we have built so far. The people stay in charge of the decisions.

Odoo as an MCP server

An AI client such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can read Odoo data, and change it only if you allow it. It sees exactly what the signed-in user may see, personal data is masked by default, and a user can be limited to reading. This module is in beta.

A helpdesk dispatcher

On a new ticket the assistant confirms receipt, summarizes what it understood and asks for the missing details. It does not try to solve technical problems: the consultants do. This module is in beta.

A planner that explains itself

The Advanced Planner computes when an order can really be delivered. The AI assistant explains the cause of a delay, proposes up to three options that exist in Odoo and drafts a message for the customer. The planner computes, the AI explains, people decide. This module is in beta.
