Helpdesk and AI
Ask your Odoo in plain language, within the limits you set
Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor work with your Odoo data and see only what you allow. An AI dispatcher answers new helpdesk tickets, an assistant answers from your user guides, the bank lines left unmatched get suggestions, dashboards are drafted from a sentence and a planning assistant explains why an order is late. People keep the decisions.
MCP server Helpdesk dispatcher Answers from the guides From inside Odoo Bank reconciliation Planning assistant Dashboards What you need Questions
Six modules, one rule: the AI explains, people decide
MCP Server
An AI client reads Odoo data with the rights of the signed-in user, and writes only if you allow it.
Helpdesk AI Reply
Confirms a new ticket, asks for the missing details and reminds a silent customer. It does not solve technical problems.
Helpdesk AI
Answers the questions of your customers from the user guides you published in Knowledge, with a link to every article it used.
Bank Reconciliation AI Fallback
Suggests a match or an account for the bank lines the standard matching left open. The accountant validates each one.
Advanced Planner AI Assistant
Explains the cause of a delay and proposes options. Nothing changes in Odoo until a person acts.
Dashboard Builder AI
Drafts a dashboard from a sentence, seeing only the names of models and fields. A person publishes it.
Artificial intelligence
AI in Odoo, with limits
What we have built so far. The people stay in charge of the decisions.
It sees what the user may see
The AI works as an Odoo user, so the normal access rights and record rules always apply. A dedicated user for the AI is the recommended setup.
It changes nothing by default
The MCP server starts read-only, and the planning assistant only writes notes. Bank suggestions wait for the accountant, and a dashboard made by the assistant is a draft until someone publishes it. The dispatcher writes messages; it changes a ticket only to lower an unanswered priority or to close it once the customer confirms the solution.
It leaves a trace
Every MCP call is in a log, with the old and the new value of what it changed. Every planning request is in an audit list, and the dispatcher explains its decisions in internal notes.
Five of the six modules are in beta
They work, but they still change from one version to the next: start them on a test database, with writing turned off. The helpdesk dispatcher is stable.
MCP Server
Odoo as an MCP server
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard through which AI clients connect to business systems. The module runs inside Odoo, on Community and Enterprise, and does not need the Odoo AI app.
Two ways to connect
An API key valid only for the MCP address, for Claude Code and Cursor. For Claude.ai and ChatGPT the user signs in to Odoo and approves the connection (OAuth 2.1), and can narrow it to reading only.
An access policy per user
The models the AI may use, with separate rights for read, create and write, and the fields it may see: hidden, shown or masked as ***.
Personal data masked
VAT number, IBAN, personal ID, birthday and salary come back as *** by default, and cannot be guessed through filters, sorting or totals.
Limits you set
Records per call, a daily budget of records and data, calls per minute and allowed IP addresses, for each policy.
Buttons, not free writing
Instead of opening writing on a model, you give the AI only the buttons it needs, such as confirming a quotation. Each runs with the rights of the connected user.
A call log on your server
User, client, tool, duration and result of every call, with the changes it made. It can support the record-keeping duties of the EU AI Act; by itself it does not make a system compliant.
Helpdesk AI Reply
A helpdesk dispatcher
The assistant takes care of the customer-facing routine of a ticket. It does not try to solve technical problems: the consultants do.
A new ticket
It confirms receipt, summarizes what it understood, asks for the missing details (steps, error message, screenshots) and says that a consultant will take over.
A customer who does not answer
After a number of silent days set per team, it sends a reminder, and lowers the priority of an unanswered high-priority ticket.
A customer who answers
The team gets 24 hours first. Only if nobody reacts does the assistant step in: it closes the ticket when the customer confirms the solution, otherwise it says that a consultant will follow up.
Never an endless stream
After three AI messages in a row with no human answer, it goes silent until a person joins the conversation. You can ground its messages in your own documentation.
On our own helpdesk
We use it on the Terrabit tickets. Our consultants also work on tickets from an AI client through the MCP server, with tools that give the ticket as clean text and find similar solved tickets.
Helpdesk AI
Answers from your user guides
An “Ask AI” box on the helpdesk page of your site. The AI agent of the team answers from the guides you published in Knowledge, and sends to a ticket what the guides do not cover.
Ask AI on the helpdesk page
The visitor asks in their own words and gets an answer with a link to every article used, in the layout of your site.
Every article a source
Each published article of the guide is a separate source of the agent, with its text and its place in the guide. Drafts never reach the agent.
Always up to date
A new or published article gets a source, a withdrawn or deleted one loses it, an edited one is read again. A daily job checks everything.
Robots kept out
An invisible reCAPTCHA check before the first question, and at most 20 questions in a conversation.
From inside Odoo
Open a ticket without leaving Odoo
Our customers can write to us from their own Odoo, with the details of the company and the database already filled in.
The Terrabit Help menu
A menu in Odoo that opens our support form, filled in with the user's name and e-mail, the company, its tax ID, the Odoo version and the database.
Not in Odoo Apps: ask us.
The Terrabit Support connector
You open the ticket in a form of your own Odoo and it goes straight to our helpdesk. The database registers itself, with no activation code.
Not in Odoo Apps: ask us.
A ticket from the error dialog
A "Create Ticket" button on the error dialogs of Odoo, with the technical details of the error attached.
Bank Reconciliation AI Fallback
Bank lines the matching could not place
Odoo's own matching runs first, for free. The AI is asked only about the lines left open, and the accountant validates every suggestion.
Only the lines left over
Payment reference, amount, partner and reconciliation models run first. The AI sees only the unreconciled lines, usually a handful per statement.
A match or an account
An open invoice or payment to reconcile with or, when nothing matches, the account of a new counterpart entry, such as bank fees or interest.
The accountant decides
Suggestions wait in a review list, with a confidence score and a plain explanation. Validate or discard them one by one or in bulk; nothing is posted automatically.
Your chart of accounts
The accounts the AI may propose are written in its instructions, editable per database. The Romanian instructions follow the Romanian chart of accounts: 627 for bank fees, 666 and 766 for interest. At any doubt, it declines.
Cost under control
Off by default, turned on per company, with a daily limit of AI calls.
Advanced Planner AI Assistant
A planner that explains itself
The Advanced Planner computes when an order can really be delivered. The planner computes, the AI explains, people decide.
Why is this order late?
One button on the sales order: the cause of the delay, with the component, vendor or work center and the days involved.
Up to three options
Expediting a named request for quotation, another vendor, a split delivery or a new promised date, each with its effect in days, plus a short message for the customer.
A morning digest
Every morning, in a Discuss channel: new blocked orders, deviations, overloaded work centers and the orders to release today.
Only planning data leaves Odoo
Document numbers, products, quantities, dates, vendors and lead times. No prices, no amounts, no customer name or contact.
Cost under control
A daily limit of AI requests per company, and an audit list of every request with its user, document and result.
Dashboard Builder AI
Dashboards described in words
Describe what you want to see, such as sales per month and the top customers. The assistant builds a draft dashboard, and a person publishes it.
It sees the structure, never your data
Only the names of models and fields go to the AI provider. The figures are computed by Odoo, with your rights, when you open the dashboard.
A draft, not a surprise
Only the dashboard builders see the draft. They check the widgets and press Publish.
Checked against the real database
Every model and field it proposes is verified, its type included. A wrong widget cancels the whole proposal, and the assistant is told why.
It changes existing dashboards
Change, delete or reorder widgets, rename a dashboard or change its period. A published dashboard stays published, and its chatter notes what changed.
Your rights, not more
The assistant works as the person asking: a viewer can neither create nor change a dashboard.

Frequently asked questions
Which AI does it use?
With the MCP server, the AI client you choose: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another client that speaks MCP. The other modules use the provider set in Odoo AI: OpenAI or Google Gemini and, with our AI - Anthropic (Claude) module, Claude.
Can the AI delete or approve something by itself?
The MCP server has no delete tool, and it never writes the status of a document: a quotation is confirmed only through a button you chose to expose. The planning assistant changes nothing, a bank suggestion is reconciled only when the accountant validates it, and a dashboard drafted by the assistant is published by a person. The dispatcher closes a ticket only when the customer confirms the solution, and explains why in an internal note.
What happens when we move to Odoo 20?
The MCP server uses the same address (/mcp) and the same key scope as the MCP server built into Odoo 20 Enterprise, so the AI clients keep their configuration.
How do we start?
With one use case, for example questions about sales: a dedicated user for the AI, a small read-only policy, and the call log open for the first weeks.
What would you ask your Odoo?
Tell us, and we will show it on a test database, with the limits in place.
